Hi,
Only new here, hello to everyone. I am looking for some advice on a dig. I have found one extremely large fulgurite in the mangroves bed here in the Hunter Valley of NSW, Australia. Found alongside the Hunter Rivers mangrove trees or beds in particuar. The fluresent colors it displays are heavy blues in all. Some have red/orange and green inclusions in lesser amounts through out, depending on the piece. I have extracted many pieces so far, around the 10kg mark in about 40 individual pieces . Is this worth extracting more? The specimine is about as round as a family dinner table and there is likely one large piece in it. It appears very old to me and unsure if the long painful and very stinky day of digging would be worth it. I am far from an expert and unsure of giving a type. Type 2 i would guess. Heavy and thick sand variety but clearly it has odd bits rocks ect. Appreciate advice on this topic if someone has the time?
